The mission of the Virginia Society for Pathology is to promote excellence in patient care and teaching through political advocacy and annual presentation of high quality educational programs for pathologists practicing in Virginia and adjacent areas. These programs are designed to update pathologists on the most recent developments in laboratory medicine in order to ensure a level of practice that conforms to current "state-of-the-art". We foster excellence in the practice of pathology and leadership/management of pathology laboratory service.
